Crashing Through My Beers [Single]

My friend Natalie Turned around And said to me "What the world Wants from me Isn’t what I wanna be.” I said, “Natalie, Didn't know you felt that way. But what the world wants from you Isn’t so unreasonable.” She was just trying to make me see All of the things that I’d been missing I could never let myself admit that I said, “Just take a deep breath And take a look at yourself. Some things we can’t control…” She spends everyday Looking for a way to change But when the chance escapes her She never even tries to catch up Her worst enemies shouldn’t be herself and family But that’s the way it turned out Don’t make things worse for yourself! She was just trying to make me see All of the things that I’d been missing I could never let myself admit that I said, “Just take a step back And take a look at yourself. Some things we can’t control…” Would it help if I said sorry? Would you even listen to me? Is there something else I could have said To make you understand what I was thinking? No! She was just trying to make me see All of the things that I’d been missing I could never let myself admit that I said, “Just take a deep breath And take a look at yourself. Some things we can’t control…”

about

First single off our upcoming album entitled FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, ON DVD & VIDEO

"Crashing Through My Beers" is a piece resurrected from a handful of pop-punk sessions, intended as solo effort from Harry Seven until he realized it wasn't going anywhere. The song concerns the disconnect between even close friends when it comes to facing personal challenges, and the unintentional insensitivity of not knowing when to shut up.

"Plum Island" is an instrumental tribute to Summer day trips to coastal Massachusetts. Recording it evoked scenes of salt marshes and sand dunes, scorching sunlight and gentle breezes (and malfunctioning tape decks!)
